Be Careful Using Free WiFi in Public Spaces


         the internet can be very easily accessed thanks to wireless technology, WiFi. However, people are advised to be careful using these facilities. Because free WiFi actually risks the security of personal data of internet users.

     This was revealed by experts in London who recently conducted research related to the use of WiFI in public places. In the research, British cyber security expert Colin Tankard revealed that WiFi facilities in public places were prone to data theft. Open it, cyber crime can also break into credit cards without the slightest being realized by the victim.

        According to Tankard, one way that can be taken is to install a virtual private network (VPN) that is accompanied by anti-virus. VPN works to encrypt activities on the internet, making it difficult for hackers. Although most VPN services are paid, the free VPN provided by Avira or Sophos is sufficient.
